Pymssql Error 20017 after upgrading to Python 3.6 and SQL Server 2016
Well, our answer was to switch to pyodbc. A few utility functions made it more or less a cut-and-paste with a few gotchas here and there, but pymssql has been increasingly difficult to build, upgrade, and use for the last few years.
